You are likely the person others come to. The holder of people, visions and hope for a better future.

And right now, you recognize that you need help.

You've outgrown the systems, the roles, and the ways of being that once carried you. And what's waiting on the other side hasn't fully revealed itself yet. That uncharted territory is where we do this work.

Grief. Overwhelm. Doubt. The quiet sense that who you've been is no longer who you're becoming. These aren't signs that something is wrong with you. They are signs that something new is asking to emerge.

Some of what brings leaders here — loss of a loved one, burnout, anxiety, depression, the nervous system running on empty. And some of it is harder to name. A season that has quietly altered the meaning of everything. A loss, a transition, an awakening that has interrupted the story you were once comfortably living.

Wherever you are, this work makes room for the whole of it.  The strategic and the existential. The clinical and the deeply spiritual.

What Our Work Together Can Hold

Schedule A Consultation

Every experience comes with nuance and complexity.  However this space can help you  examine, resolve and digest:

  • Grief around the loss of a cherished connection
  • Trauma, including what you set aside to keep leading and building
  • Faith deconstruction and religious trauma
  • Apathy, exhaustion, depression, burnout, imposter syndrome
  • Career transitions
  • Leadership strain and the pressure of carrying a great deal
  • Rebuilding self-trust after years of overriding yourself

Relief often looks like:

  • Interior peace, clarity and self-understanding even when the path ahead still feels unclear
  • Permission to exist in rooms as you are
  • Grief has a place to go instead of moving sideways into your relationships
  • You release old survival strategies and stories impairing your self-care and expression
  • You make decisions and take confident action

You should Know:

My approach to therapy is integrative and decolonized. I am not a Christian practitioner.  I consider your experience within the larger systems, relationships, and environments that have shaped you. We don't just talk, we dismantle the barriers, name the plan and set the goals, that allow you to lead, live and create sustainbly.

Depending on what the work calls for EMDR is available, based on initial assessment.

The experience

Therapy is available virtually to clients located in California.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are generally scheduled bi-weekly to allow time for reflection and integration between sessions.

If you are currently navigating an acute crisis, this practice may not be the best clinical fit for your current needs.

FORMER CLIENT

What started as work around self-compassion and acceptance eventually led me to a truth I didn’t expect: I was ready to leave my marriage and forge a new path. Nichomi created a space where I could own that truth—even when it scared the hell out of me.

FORMER CLIENT

Much of my career was spent rising through the leadership ranks—but I never expected that stepping into an executive role would stir up so many fears and insecurities. I’ve worked with plenty of therapists and coaches over the years, but working with Nichomi has been the most transformative by far.

FORMER CLIENT

What I loved most about working with Nichomi was the phrase "now that you're aware of that, what do you wanna do about it?".  It's become my mantra, lol. She isn't pushy; but she will always challenge you to remember your authority. She's just compassionately real!

FORMER CLIENT

Listen if folks are not really committed to honest engagement with themselves, they may not be ready for Nichomi. But if they are, they are in for life altering insights and realizations.

Nichomi Keeps it 100!

FAQs

Is this therapy or coaching?

Do you accept insurance?

At this time I only accept Aetna. I do not accept other insurance directly, but many clients receive reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.  I work with Mentaya to help you understand your out-of-network benefits and if eligible, get reimbursed for therapy. We can discuss during consult.

Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA)?

Yes. If I am providing licensed therapy services, HSA funds can typically be applied toward your sessions. We can confirm the details during your consultation.

How Often Do We Meet?

To allow space for deep integration my practice operates on a bi-weekly model focused on deep integration. If you are currently navigating a crisis that requires acute stabilization or weekly support, this container may not be the right clinical fit for your current needs.

Do you work with international clients?

For therapy, I am licensed in California and can only provide clinical services to clients located within the state. For executive coaching and consulting, I work with clients across the U.S. and internationally, including the UK and Europe. Visit the coaching and consulting page to learn more.

What Happens During the Consultation?

The consult is a 15-minute call to explore what’s bringing you here, answer any questions you have, and determine whether this space is the right fit for what you’re navigating.
No pressure. Just presence.
